Scarf Tutorial #1: Hermes Silk Scarf with Bulgari Key Chain

BlogUncategorized

You may come across many blogs that talk about making knots using Hermes square scarves. However, Hermes silk scarf in long rectangular shape can be very flexible too in creating the knots and look you want. So, if you have Gucci or Louis Vuitton long shawl, Hermes maxi-twilly, or even the unbranded one, try this out. Without further ado, let’s dive into learning how to make two different knots by doing a small tweak to the first knot. I was using Bulgari 925 Sterling Silver Key Chain/Pendant as the scarf ring in this tutorial. You may use any scarf ring in “O” or “8” shape for these knots. My Hermes silk scarf is relatively thinner so you may have to use a bigger scarf ring if your scarf is thicker.

In the picture demonstration, the green arrow represents one side (side A) and blue arrow represents another side (side B) of the scarf.

Style #1:

  1. Fold the scarf to your desired width.
  2. Pass side A through Bulgari Key Chain and pull it out a bit to make a loop.
  3. Pass through the loop with side B.
  4. Tighten side A and the knot is done.

  2. Pass side A through Bulgari Key Chain and pull it out a bit to make a loop.
  3. Pass through the loop with a folded segment of side B.
  4. Tighten side A.
  5. Adjust the size of the ribbon you have made by tightening side B.
